Cosmic Horror

Cosmic horror filmmaking builds dread from human insignificance: extreme long shots, slightly illegal geometry, under-light on faces, and a brightness that reveals too much. The threat is not a man. Scale, entity, and knowledge that will not fit a face are the optical problem.
